Si B's MENG 1/35 Renault FT-17 light tank (cast turret)

Evening all,

Above is my entry for the WWI GB. Been after one for a while so was a good candidate for me! I’ll take some shots of sprues, as per the regulations, and post them up shortly.
Cheers
Si

I don’t really want to start unbagging the sprues until I’m ready to use them so here is a link to a PMMS review. The sprue picture are at the bottom of the page...

Looking forward to seeing this one come together. Will you be doing a six colour, three tier camo scheme??:smiling5:

I’ve not made any decisions on the colouring in yet mate...I got some research to do and I gotta finish a little StuG that I accidentally started building :tongue-out:
Should be making a start in the next few days...hopefully

Fair point. I left mine in the bags as well. It's far too easy to loose a tiny part.

Evening all,

Work has begun on the FT-17. I’ve not tackled a Meng kit before but have to say, it’s going smoothly so far.
Construction starts with the transmission

Then onto the engine assembly

Si don't listen to Steve, he'll tell you next there was a 18 color version used on odd days.:smiling:
Nice start on the engine, don't suppose it will be seen, a pity as the detail looks good .

That’s it for now. About 3 hours work so far and a pleasant build

This looks like a very nice kit. Great detail being well put together.

Great choice Si , Looks like a beautifully tooled kit , shame that all that lovely internal detail will be invisible, unless you do a verlinden style cutaway job , like they used to have in the middle of the old tamiya catalogues back in the day ! cheers tony
