    Almost done now.

Got the last bits done tonight which was fitting the Scurtzen armour and flicking some mud around the upper hull and turret.

I'm not going to do the full reveal yet as I still need to make the base, but here's some pics of tonight's work.

John, plenty of micro sol and set on the decals. The number on the rear of the turret also went over the hatch latch so got a little deformed. In retrospect I wish I'd left it off.

I used acylic ink for the wash on the tools but intend getting some Indian ink for doing jet nozzles on aircraft.
                Thanks Bob.
Well have to say the Mirco Sol really worked.
I've used Indian Ink before, quite liked it, might try on my tools.

                      Hi Bob
Very well done. Weathering is so believable.

Wonderful work on the mud. Its always a difficult part of weathering to get correct. I particularly like the wheels. Terrific stuff mate:thumb2:

                            Cheers Steve.

It was actually quite an easy technique and one I will definitely use again.

Started on the base this weekend.

Small update on the base. I applied some thinned glue over the surface and then sprinkled tile grout over it. The idea was to break up the smooth surface and give it a more earthy texture. When dry I went over with NATO brown, but varied the opacity to try and give depth.

I'm also trying (for the first time) to make a tree.
