It's brilliant. You have both done an amazing job. And you get a chance to introduce this young man into the esoteric art of making water. Like a family secret passed generation to generation.

I wish I had a Grandad like you Ron. :tongue-out3:
Great work the both of you, a fantastic idea and diorama, shows what you can do with an old/broken model.
Glad to hear you both had fun and are still talking to each other.

                          To my good friends.

What brilliant, amusing and very complimentary posts. Thanks chaps.
Personally I'm dead chuffed, but the 'Average height squirt' will be over the moon with your comments.

Just as soon as he's about I'll let him read your input. Let's hope that thanks to you good people and my modest helping hand he decides to carry on model making.

The trouble is, he will have other distractions on the horizon - Can't say as I blame him. It happened to us all, didn't it!

                          What's next some have asked?

                          For the boy?
                          Sooner than later probably this...

For me after Brad's G.B., it'll probably be a bigger 1/72 scale of this, my 1/144 VIIC /41 Atlantic Version U.Boat.....

Thanks again to everyone who contributed during our build.

                          We'll be back - Hopefully.......:thumb2:
