    Bowcat's Tamiya SU-76M 1/35

Made a start on this today. The plan was for a fairly simple low part kit (after the 600+ part Bradley). Then I went and complicated things by adding an Eduard PE set.

    Obligatory sprue shots.

Just got the lower hull done today, the PE slowed me down a bit as I had to grind off a fair bit of plastic, and there were a lot of ejector marks on the side plates that needed sorting.

Spent a couple of hours tonight putting some complex (for me) photoetch together in the form of the three ammo racks. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, each one was progressively better and I've started to work out how to use the tool to clamp parts for gluing, not just for bending.

                    Nice start Bob.

I know I keep saying it, but anyone who tackles P.E. has my utmost praise. I know I have neither the patience, nor the skill to even contemplate letting my mitts anywhere near the stuff!........

                      Thanks Ian & Ron.

One thing this hobby has taught me is patience, and also to get up and walk away when my patience is exhausted.
