      And we're off!!

Thank you to everyone that help make this GB happen. I'm over the bombers moon about it. Remember you have 3 months to complete so please don't feel rushed. Also even if you don't manage to finish in the timescale then please feel free to post it when you do. I know life can overtake things/builds at times. I'd still love to see it.

If anyone reading this hasn't joined the Group build and feels like they may want to, then please feel free to do so. Just read the 'rules' at the beginning and enjoy.

So not going to 'The Clacker' then? No way there's 219 steps there!

Well guys that's me back from a lovely week in the Lake District. Had a great time with my family and even got to visit the LMS in Wigton. Good little place and not bad prices (which surprised me). My boys splashed out and got themselves a 1/72 Airfix Lancaster and a 1/48 Tamiya Mossie. I got...... nothing lol.

So now i see i have to do a bit of catching up on your builds and crack on with mine. Hre goes

Hi Allan, I was going to join with Tamiya 1/48 UHU but saw that Bob was already starting on one so I stopped until roumaging in the salvaged pile of flooded kits I forgot I had a Dragon 1/72 UHU. The clean up team did a good job and basically nearly everything was intact except the boxing and maybe the decals...let see if they still work.

Since it's 1/72 and there is still two months to go I think I can make it. It's the only night fighter I have besides the 1/48 Black Widow which is too big and also suffers from flood dammage.

I will start posting next with sprue shots.

                    Cheers,
                    Richard

I'm away for a week from tonight guys so any problems then please contact one of the admins. Only a few weeks left to finish these builds (don't worry if you don't). I need to pull my socks up, get my mind back on track and get mine finished. Hopefully i'll do that when i get back. Then it's the P-38 GB and the Stug GB

                        Ciao for now.

I'm afraid that this one has beaten me, my Dornier 215 is back in its' box.
Life has interfered with my benchtime. Due to being named as an executor in a late friends' will, I'm a bit snowed under with dealing with that.- I haven't been able to get to my bench for a week or so. The tasks should ease off after all the initial contacts & notifications ( & the funeral ) are done with, but I'm not in the mood for models at the moment.

Sorry to hear about your friend. But, you have an important job to do, the model will always be there for better times.

I'm still around - but the paperwork and due processes take time, and since I retired, I've lost my familiarity with office work & dealing with strangers.
I'm still browsing the forum & I'll still post up any new model finds from the internet
