Fine stuff Simon - coming along very well indeed. The camera is a killer, but does give a very false picture of reality. Glad your sticking at it.

How yourself and others can make them look good at any size is beyond me

I think I should stick with adding rivets

I think it looks rather good Mr T. The camera always lies. So much of my work looks better in the flesh than in a photo. Keep at it as it will be a real winner once finished.

P.S If you really want to add some rivets he could always have some hob nailed boots:smiling5:

            Steve / George - thanks

Repainted his face and did the rest of the detailing last night then used my proper camera to get some better shots of him

I reckon this is about as good as it will get
His right eye isn't really a big white blob - that is reflection off shiny surface
He really needs a coat of matt varnish to take the shine off

              Morning all,

left him to dry for a couple of days then brushed on a couple of coats of AK Ultra matt

he looks better without the shine but he also looks better at normal viewing size as well

Reasonably happy with how he turned out in the end

made a start on a small base from a chair leg castor cup, Duro, builders sand, brush bristles and a bit of plant root

Painted dark brown then dry brushed with lighter brown and green followed by a heavy dry brush of off white

All I have to do now is the snow - should be entertaining

Thanks Peter - million miles away from your standard but not bad for me

The big photos don’t do it any favours though - look at all those specks of dust and fluff!

Luckily I can’t see them normally

I'd be happy with that too, well done.

                          Thanks George

Made a start on the snow using Gorilla wood glue, micro balloons, Precision Ice and Snow snow and their ice wash

I shall see how it looks tomorrow night and if not too bad will take some more photos

                                Hi Simon
Very nicely done. The base looks good and the snow will make it even better.
