Steve Jones Victrix 28mm French Napoleonic Artillery
Just a thought, but it might be easier to build up the uniform colours from darkest to lightest. I always find it much harder to put the shadows in last.

That's what I thought I was doing :smiling5: :smiling5: :tears-of-joy: :smiling: :thumb2:
Hi Steve
To get a good hint on the trouser highlights look at the last picture of your first posting. The light indicates them really nicely. I would try to get the layers a little more transparent so the edges blend in a little. Also, unload the brush before you paint on the model so you don’t flood the surface, I find the best way to do this is a couple of brushstrokes on a piece of photocopy paper I keep next to the bench. Peter uses the back of his hand I think.....it’s a really worthwhile technique to get down, it gives you much more brush control....
Sir are you really Steve "rivet " Jones and not some imposter. !!!!
Mind looking at the work I think It could well be you, a great start my friend.
Just take heed from Peter and Tim .
