Interesting one this Pete, it’s a projected design that was never built. Two Ise class battleships were converted instead,

      Interesting! :thumb2:
I have the Hasegawa Hyuga ( Ise sister ship ) in 1/700 - similar idea
Expedient conversion during WWII, due to loss of proper aircraft carriers. Never carried many planes - due to shortage of aircraft!

Also due to a shortage of flight deck Dave. I think they only had dive bombers and recon floatplane aircraft embarked, and could only launch by catapult.

Hi me again, as I was in the groove I carried on building.

Onto the aircraft, I thinned down the propellers and gave them some pitch and added an radio mast

Assembled chimney, rear gun deck, cranes.

              Build stage complete.

              Thank you for looking in.
              Pete.

Cheers Ian, they certainly cram a lot of detail into a very small space.

                          Update.

Hi as I had The H/S out and got all the painting done I will be doing a light wash.

I have removed the four propellor blades and the two rudder blades for it to lay better in the gel.

Painted and added decals to the aircraft.

The aircraft catapult in the deployment position.

Thank you for looking in, I hope you like it.
                          Pete.

That’s looking great Pete, and should look even better with the wash on.

Cheers ian i certainly hope so, just the aircraft carrier to go I won't be building any of these ship are far too small and fiddly, they are half the size of the Meng ones I think I've broken more off than I'll put on.
Think I'll just stick to Toon tanks in the future.
                              Pete.
