Doesn't seem to be too much PE. But a very nice looking little Boaty McBoatface. Watching with interest.

      Hi all
      Thanks guys
When Pete put forward this GB he intended it to be simply fun and fairly undemanding. He was dead right. Sticking bits of this together has been light relief from painting the camo on my HMS Rodney. Very little done but one funnel bit built.

I can only guess that matron has sent him there to think about his behaviour. Rather like when I was teaching I sometimes asked the class scallywag to stand in the corridor and consider what he had done :tongue-out3:

Nice work on the mighty Mo Jim, neat to drill out the 5’’ barrels.:thumb2:

Will look interesting when completed festooned with AAA in her WWII outfit.:smiling:

ps. That remark brings back memories of standing in the corridor a time too many too.:smiling5:

            Hi all
Fernando - I wonder how these kits are designed. Is it just some clever guy or is there a computer programme which can take the actual ship/vehicle/plane or whatever and "distort" it.
John - I don't believe a word of what you say. You will miss playtimes for the rest of the week. The psychiatrist treating matron says it may take a while for her to recover fully :tongue-out3:
The build is complete. Just dry fitted at the moment. One or two bits like anchors still to add. I rather like the brightly coloured, clean look so I think I'll paint it like that. Sort of goes with the cartoon look.

                  Hi all
Thanks Ralph and Pete for looking in. I think I will put it on a simple sea base.
Been a while since an update but I have been pottering away at this. All the painting is done although the photo only shows the base coat. Got to gloss it next and then some simple weathering.

                      Hi all
The ship is finished. The decals are not decals they are stickers - surprisingly they went on fine. The little bit of rigging was done with standard Uschi rigging thread. Weathering kept to a minimum. Oil washes and a bit of a pin wash. Just the base to do.

A lot of fun so big thanks to Pete for this GB. I would never have built a Toon if it were not for the GB.

Well it sure is an original subject. Nicely executed Jim, well done. I'm personally a fan of a bit more weathering, but everyone's got different taste. In any case, very neat finish. Stickers look good too!

                          Pete.

                            Morn Jim,

I just caught back up with this and she looks great for a toon. Still is a shame you didn't get the fat eagle with it. Nice work and finish on the "Mighty Mo"!!! I bet this isn't your last toon either...……………...
Life's to short to be a sheep...

Some nice clean modelling of this deadly looking ship! Wouldn’t of liked to be the barrel cleaning guy....you’d be at it all week:tired:
Hope the base goes as well as the ship:smiling4:
