Finally got my head into the attic for a stug search.
This will be the chosen victim
It's an old one, but should survive the idea I have. There is some PE in the box and an RB turned barrel somewhere to fit the job.
I shall collect all the bits I need ready to get started.
When is it again? Lol

Yo!! Stuggies!!
I've built a III and a IV before but just couldn't find any in my stash except for this oldie moldie...
Checked in the box...everythings there even the horrible decals that would work like paper transfers :smiling6: The tracks are the good old springy unbendable rubberband kind. I wondered if I could slice them into link and length tracks. The plastic molded parts are miles ahead of the older Tammy kit I think and I bet the dimentions are more accurate not being a motorised kit. What say you Simon. Has anyone built this?
I'll get this preped and ready by putting it in front of me at the bench incase I forget and start on something else by accident. :smiling2:
Lord StuG .
I'm busy checking up my 4 B0 paint supplies. Have several Russian officer figures to use with this as they check out the captured beast.:smiling2::smiling2::smiling2::nerd:
T34 Rule :smiling2:
Bob and I have been speaking behind the scenes about this photo
Bob very kindly worked it out for me that it was a Stug Ausf C/D. We thought maybe in Southern France or Italy. It transpires that it was actually taken in the spring of 1941 in the Balkans. With Bobs help I have managed to source a Dragon Stug and over the last two months I have cobbled together all the extras needed
I probably wont be able to join the party until the New Year as I have a Bison and a Panther to do. However I am really looking forward to doing my third Stug and I hope you will allow me to join in all the fun with the rest of you
That's some extras package Steve, should be a beauty!
I have a similar Voyager kit, jerry cans and Black Dog stowage here, plus I was considering the Friul tracks. These Stugs are certainly well catered for with AM!
Steve,
that photo looks a little odd to me, something doesn't look right - the crew, the stream bed - it looks a little model like. It's a bridge ( or culvert ), - where does the water go, or come from on the other side. It could be a trick of perspective fooling my eye.................
Dave
It is a genuine photo Dave. If you look down the R/H side you will see it is from the Bundesarchiv. I will go into more detail on the build but Bob and I believe it is a training/gofer Stug attached to the Kompanies that invaded the Balkans. I also have two other close up photos of the same Stug parked up. I will show these when I do the build
