Okay everyone. We may have lost three threads for various reasons. Its not a problem as we have three new offerings to add to the long list above

SimonT - Tamiya 1:35 Sturmmorser Tiger (AAGB) HERE

Richard's Tamiya 1/35 Brummbar (AAGB) HERE

Jim R's Trumpeter 1/72 Fairey Gannet HERE

Remeber its a 6 month GB so if you ever want to take part then just feel free to post away.

Thanks for all your continued support of the GB

            Hello happy modellers! :-)

I would enjoy being part of this GB with two kits, one thread for each, if I may:

1:56 Bolt Action wargame model of a Sd.Kfz. 234/2 Puma
1:35 Cyberhobby (Dragon) /3 Puma with 2 cm schwebelafette

What do I need to do?

Kind regards!Click image for larger version

              Hi there Christian,
Your more than welcome to join in with your two builds.

Follow this link. Click on the orange box that says post thread, create a title, add some words and pictures of and off you go. The forum dictates that you must post pictures of the sprues in the kit.

Rules for group builds in general are Here.

              Hope this helps
              Si

I’m going to be pedantic and say that although neither of the two was officially called a “Puma”, the second one of those certainly never was. “Puma” when talking about the Sd.Kfz. 234 means the /2 with 5-cm-KwK

Looks like my build is going to be done soon. Do you mind if I continue to build some more Mack AC Bulldogs I have a few more plans for these trucks

Well, ignorance is bliss and knowledge can be a burden. It never crossed my mind that it was only the 234/2 which was called "Puma", as Tank Encyclopedia agrees.

If "Puma" is not an official name, then no Sd.Kfz. 234 can be entered into the GB according to these guidelines, on p. 1:

There are few ‘rules’ as such but we would like to point out, proper vehicle names only please, no nicknames.

We have a great Puma build in the GB already :-/

                      Moderator, a decision please?

Si, some clarification is needed in your group build. Can you have a look at Christian's post please. The last post on page 14.

I've asked Si, one of the GB owners to have a look at this.

I kept quiet as I thought the GB mod, Ian M, would pop his head in with a decision.

Christian, The Sd kfz 234/2 definitely no problem, build away :smiling4:

Although i hate to agree with Jakko, the other would technically be inaccurate for the GB. My sources suggest the 234/3 was not referred to as a Puma, it was only the 234/2 that was.

But there is no reason you can’t build and blog it for us, just under a different forum such as Armoured vehicles under construction.
I for one would love to see it being built Christian :thumb2:

Thank you for the quick replies - I have decided to switch the /3 to the Hobbyboss 2015 re-release of the 2010 Tristar "Brummbär":

HobbyBoss model kit in scale 1:35, 80134 is a rebox released in 2015 | Contents, Previews, Reviews, History + Marketplace | Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär | EAN: 6939319201348

One has already been admitted to the GB.

I am excited to see the quality of the parts, and look forward to be able to paint the rubber part of the wheels separately for once! Something which Tristar seems to have made possible on a consistent basis ;-)
