    Pete's Airfix 1/48 Jackal

I bought this at the St Ives show a few weeks ago. Having built the Warrior from the same series I'm looking forward to this, so on with the photos!

The kit originally contained 8 RAF Regiment figures, but they'd been taken out, hence the bargain price. Just as well really, I'm not good at figures.
    The sprues:

There's some very nice moulded detail:

Another great choice for the GB Pete. Looks a good kit. A few years back we used to see these all the time bombing around the streets of Plymouth on their road tests. Good luck with the build.

A couple of axles/ suspension units built:

I might wish later that I'd painted them before assembly...
The instructions say to attach the wheels and tyres then fit the axles to the chassis, but I think I'll skip those steps for now - the tyes will be easier to paint if they go on last, and that suspension looks a bit fragile so better to add it as late as possible.
              Thanks for watching.

Whoops! Ignore that bit about fitting the axles later, they can't be fitted after the chassis/lower hull is fitted to the upper bit! :disappointed2:

                Edit: One of them can!

                  Pete,
They do look fragile but nicely detailed.

I'm not sure if I need to do a bit of painting before I add any more. Any thought folks?

Tamiya XF59 Desert Yellow again. Much of it will be removed when cleaning up the parts after removal.
                          Cheers
