Thanks Allen and Jim.
Having rit the above, I'm not a forward planner, far from it, but I've learned which way up is the easiest, simplest and quickest way to achieve a result I'm happy with.:thumb2:
I hope that waffling makes some sort of sense.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks Gary.
For me anyway, simplest, easiest and quickest is bestist!
I divided the model into small squares and brushed in the cammo. This is the just the preliminary coat to start with, then I can see where I need to brush on more.
Each coat that follows will sharpen up the cammo. edges, but the main pattern is now laid down.
Cheers.

Nice work with the hairy stick Ron.
(and I thought long and hard about that sentence considering this is a chopper thread).Comment

Thanks chaps.
I've brushed on a second and poss. last coat. See how the cammo. is starting to pop a bit. Anyone wanting to have a go at this sort of thing with a brush, don't worry when the first coat is a bit wishy washy, subsequent coats will put matters right....Hopefully!
Also, to break things up a bit, I've added some pretty blue to the nose and back bit.
Looking at these photos, I might yet darken the light grey a tad as it looks a bit 'bluey'. Might even go for broke and go sand yellow! Oh, what fun!:upside:
Thanks for looking in....

Thanks Si.
I've added some Vallejo U.S. Sand to the equation.
I'll give the whole pattern a wash of summat, to try and get rid of the blue/grey bits. Otherwise I will think about re-painting that particular colour.
There again, I might just muck it up with a bit of a dusting and leave it. :upside:
