    Thanks Paul and Rick. :thumb2:

The madness is behind me. All I need to do now is to get my eyeballs back in parallel!

Bit of a tip to anyone contemplating this sort of stuff with a brush. If you accidentally paint over into the next 'square', don't worry, just paint the next one - And so on if necessary. I did!

More than happy with the outcome, but I'm very glad to get this stage behind me.

Next, I'll start to add the windows, cockpit canopy.

Also the various bits wot stick out. Then, where required, I'll paint these the corresponding cammo. colour.

    Cheers.
    Ron

Awesome, wonderful job Ron. Now go and rinse your eyes and sit and have a touch of the strong stuff to calm those nerves.

I've glued on most of the sticky out bits and the steps.

Next, I'll blend these bits in where necessary. Give the painting a final 'touch up' :flushed: Then add the clear plastic.

        Cheers.

          Very nice indeed Ron
That camo is something else, and you certainly have made a most excellent job of it!

            Thanks Andy.
Purely fictitious, but good fun and a proper ball ache in equal measures!

One pill makes you larger..........and, one pill makes you small...................Oh, sorry Ron!!! This is a much larger update Sir!!! still playing ketchup with all the great stuff going on here....

I have to admit, I can't look at the camo too long or I get dizzy. I'm still wondering how in the hell you do it. And do it so neat and clean in this scale......A big and I mean big, tip of my hat hat to you and your skills Sir!!!

              Prost

Thanks for the compliment Allen. Now you know how my peepers were feeling whilst painting the thing!

I too am trying to keep up with the torrent of new posts. To my eternal shame, I'm afraid I might well have to give up!

                Nearly there.....
The kit didn't include any crew, so as the helicopter will be hovering, I needed a couple of pilots. There was no way on this earth I was going to spend wonga on a couple of 1/72 Nato helicopter pilots that would have cost me more than I paid for the whole kit, so....

I modified a couple of pilots from my spares bag.
                Near enough for me.

I haven't the patience or skill to mask canopies etc., so I freehand brush paint them.

I've also glued in place the rotor assembly and glued the wheels on.
All that remains is the fitting of the side windows. check the thing over and then add what decals I choose to stick on.

                Cheers.

While I'm here Ron, might there be some "chucking up" by the lovely wife, with this one when it's finished??? Inquiring minds want to know............

Yes, indeedy Allen. there surely will!

Why, even before it is ready, she is stroking it in mouthwatering anticipation. I would post a picture, but this is a family forum. :flushed:

                        I've completed my Helicopter.

Thanks to Pete for suggesting and running this G.B.

Totally fictitious camouflage. I just used enough decals to my liking. There was no way I was going to use them all!

Brush painted using Vallejo Model Air acrylics. All free hand, I'm too impatient and clumsy to mask stuff.

I've had a stab at moving rotors. made from thin clear stuff from the top of food containers.

Anyway, here is the finished model and thanks to all who contributed their thoughts etc. during the build. :thumb2:
