The figures will set this off very nicely. I would imagine there would be a step of some sort to enable the nurses to get in and out easier.

I haven't had much bench time recently but have made a bit of progress.
The figures have been primed and a black wash applied. Now time to paint them. I can't put it off forever.
I've also added a step to back of tbe ambulance and weathered the ambulance with washes and pigments. I've tried to create a dusty look.

Well that was fun and quite difficult. My first attempt at figures. I'm not going to build a base but once I've varnished these figures and maybe weathered them a bit to be in keeping with the ambulance, I'll publish some better photos in the completed section.
I think I need to read up more on painting figures. I looked at a few blogs and videos including Tim's recent SBS, but like anything it's going to take alot more practice.
The eyes in particular were very difficult and looking at this picture the wounded solidier looks like his mascara has run. I'll touch that up before varnishing

Nicely done, they look good to me. Figures are a whole new art form I for one find them difficult.Comment

Pretty good for a first attempt, Mike. I have one minor comment though- it looks to me as though the nurse should have an apron.
For what it's worth, I find it easier to paint the eyes first and then paint up to them with the flesh colour. maybe try that next time?Comment
