Cheers Jim. I find that quite easy with sky, but harder with the darker top colours. I’ll be using SMS paint for the first time as well, so keeping my fingers crossed…..Comment

I'm confused over the term Lacquers , seems means two different things on here .
I was under the impression that a lacquer was cellulose based.
Then I read that Tamiya are acrylic based lacquer ?Comment

Confusing as hell John, but they are both lacquers. The trouble is we only use part of the name……cellulose based lacquers are really called nitrocellulose and acrylics are properly called acrylic lacquers. There are also water based lacquers…….oh, and shellac (French polish), which I’m sure you’ve used……that’s a lacquer as well…..
The lacquer part is the resin binder and pigment left behind when the solvent evaporates……they are formulated to work with the particular solvent used.Comment
