Ok, so i cut out the centre parts of the rear trust covers?
and put them back in the moulds then poured in the clear resin.
1st couple of bits i trialed had quite a few bubbles in them.
so for this final pour i used an improvised a vibration table, on my glass base using my Dremel drill I left it running for about 30 mins and voila much less bubbles :smiling3: left it over night to set and it looks good most of it will be hidden with the tail spikes anyway then i read the instructions…. Use a heat gun to remove unwanted air bubbles…
The blemishes are from inside the mould i made from silicon but it will produce the desired effect
centre motor looks great and even the fan blades came out well.
So when together the port & starboard trusters? Will be illuminated like this
and the centre truster like this.
well thats the theory anyway:thinking:
Mando and son are pieced together in cockpit but not completed yet
Well thats pretty much the kit done quick and simple build but well made all fits really well, now i need to paint it and wire it up might be a while !!!,

Ok bit more soldering today and chopping out bits of plastic, so i put together a few more led’s 8, 4 a side. Glued them in to the rear truster covers added the pointy bit (Temp) checked they worked and then trialled the whole assembly in the dark seems to be working ok, other side to finish off then i need to cut a couple of tracks in the wing bottom to allow for an interference free fit
All just temporally fitted so once i get everything seated properly i can start assembling in earnest

Bit more done today seen as how the weathers is so miserable… soldered up the 3rd engine and trialed it, also managed to fit the wiring into the very tight space between top and bottom of wings involved stripping off the insulation and cleaning out a couple of small groves even managed to get mando and Grogo finished seated in there cockpit, sorry pictures are not in order
this is the way
