Front row with a cup of coffee in hand!

Airfix has really interesting BrailleScale models. What always confuses me though is what scale I'm actually getting. Sometimes it says 1/72 on the outside but 1/76 is inside etc... (Yes, there is a difference! :tongue-out3: ) - Confusing!

Yes you are so right. This thing is way smaller than the Pegasus one I have I’ll do a comparison later. After I started building then I realize it. Maybe the Pegasus is out of scale guess I’ll have to measure them.

Whatever the scale I'm sure you'll build it up nicely into a fine model. Very much a D-Day subject. Every picture of the landings has a LC in it somewhere :tongue-out3:

Thanks Jim for the complement. I’ve been thinking how to incorporate the water base that comes with the Pegasus kit but last night I think I can get it and the Jeep into a couple small Dioramas.

Wow Buddy, You do have a lot of things on the bench! I've never built a floaty thing either, so this will be an interesting project Lee. Bring it on...

Edit...A friend and I built an Aurora Prinz Eugen battleship when we were kids. It was blown up on the water with fireworks, before the glue was fully dry. Kit's lifespan was about two hours..................
Life's to short to be a sheep...

Last time I built something floaty was when I was in the services. We used to build fast attack boats and then blow them up too. To show a simulated AS12 attack for potential commanding officers!! Build time - 2 to 3 days. Time to destruction. 30 seconds!!! Packed full of thunder flashes anything combustable!!!! Ka - Boooooom!

The good ole days always wanted to do that when I was a kid never got around to it but I know one thing if this kit keeps given me fit issues it’s going to the river by where I haul dirt and at lunch time I’ll be playing with Fireworks. I watched many reviews on YouTube and read some about this kit before I bought it and most said it was a good kit maybe I got a dud seems like the hull is wrapped I can’t get it to line up straight. I’ve walked away from it for a day or so we’ll see what happens.

Here’s a update. Going to try to get that seam fixed at the bottom then maybe paint and finish some more subassemblies. Click image for larger version
