Hi Andy. Yes, I do hold the golf tees. I used to blue tack the figure to the tee, but then had a brainwave. As I use coins as bases, which are magnetic, I glued magnets to the tees. The neodymium magnets hold the figures tightly enough to be painted. I have to pick coins that are steel though, the older copper based ones aren’t magnetic. Locking one hand over the other is a skill worth learning as well. It doesn’t stop the shaking, but both hands shake together so it minimises the problem. I know what you mean about weight helping. When I had a very light SLR camera I had the same problem. A heavier camera means less camera shake, at least for me.I was like Jim - I could hardly make them out in the metal, but the primer and wash have done wonders.
Do you hold the golf tees while painting, or support them in something? I have to attach small things to something heavy or they just shake around. It's like trying to paint a moving target :tears-of-joy:
I haven't quite got the hang of locking my hands together like my lad does.Comment

Well, some progress on the little chaps at last….not the best picture, sorry…..
Faces, hats, boots, and trousers done now……currently working up the denison smocks. Base layer painted and highlighted (and all the work blown out by the camera….), so brown and green splodges next……I don’t try to follow the pattern when I do this, at 20mm I think it would generate lunacy…..Comment
