Looking good there Garry. First reply but I have been following along. Just many builds on here right now, difficult to keep up with them all.
As Stefee says, rally cars change tyre types according to the type of stage they will be racing!!

Thanks Doug, you're right, loads of builds going on atm.
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

Nice work Gary. Looking at all these old cars being built, I can practically smell the 'non emission controlled' exhausts from here.

Thanks Mick, I'll try my best with the weathering, it's all a learning curve, but I'm up for it.

The little Renault is starting to look the part now.
I have applied the decals, and will wait a suitable amount of time for them to dry before final gloss coat. I must add that the quality of the decals was very good, and went on with no problems, using the usual Micro set and sol process.
As I have an aversion/phobia/fear of masking windows (I always mess it up), I have left them out for the moment, and just added the required decals, and once the gloss coat is dry I'll add the windows, before final assembly of all the body parts, and then start mucking up the finish with some weathering. :smiling2:
                          Thanks for looking in.
                          Garry

The battery placement has been bothering me, even though that is where the instructions indicate it should go, but placed on top of the transmission was just not right to me. However when I was doing the decals there was a lightning bolt decal to go at the corner on the drivers side of bonnet indicating a battery in that area.
So just for my own peace of mind, I moved the battery to that corner of the engine bay, which I think looks a whole lot better and makes the battery a little more lifeike. Even though once the bonnet is on, it will never be seen again. :smiling2:
It makes me feel better though.
                              What do you reckon Stefan?
