That's my blurry picture to blame. You can't read 'Contrail', the kit maker, on the box

KP doing the DH9s was a surprise (AFTER I'd got the Maquette R-1 - harumph), so after I got the Horsley six months ago I thought that an injection or resin one might suddenly materialise

This is only a PART of my RAF silver wings stash.

The Horsley is a vacform, so a bit of an outlier for this go. Haven't done a vac in a LONG time.
And I've never actually finished one...

Maybe I should take a vote...

Or go with this

Or, go with the 1/32 CR.32.
Decisions decisions
Well,if you do a vote, put me down for the Hector....
No military reason...I just used to love "Hector's House" as a child!!

And we fit together about as well as a Frog kit of the same vintage...

Which reminds me, why did Hector's 'sexy' frog neighbour keep climbing the ladder to see what him and the cat were up to?

Aah, forum tangents!

Seriously tho' (ha!) I suppose I COULD start with the Hector and work backwards thru the Hart variants... Still don't have Hardy yet...

I made quite a few Contrail vacforms last century & the boxes are quite familiar................ a lot of those are now available as injection moulded, but at the time the only models were vacforms. One which eluded me, but is still unique is the Fairey Hendon..................

Looking in my stash there are a few vacforms still lurking, like this

This was later injection moulded by MPM/Special Hobby, so this will remain unmade!
Rareplanes were one of the 'garage' makers, that most of the vac-forms came from. Some of the models were quite sophisticated, like those by Esoteric & some were basic in the extreme - I had a 1/32 ID Models Westland Wyvern - there was a model in there, but would need years of work to refine it!
Good old days - 1/72 models would weeks to make interspersed by days waiting for paint to dry!

Thanks Ian. I have so many to choose from it’s hard to make a decision right now but I’ll keep you posted before we start.
