I agree with Jim too. Well worth all the work. With all that detail, painting will be a breeze. I found that out painting my 25 figures...surprisingly quicker than modifying the figures

      Cheers,

                  Finally!

Painting the remaining four Gis of this second batch has been a real struggle, mostly because it’s been spaced over almost three months, with an hour snatched here and there , in between major house decorating (sanding floorboards as well as paint and wallpaper)and a holiday, and then the lack of motivation when there was actually an opportunity to paint.
I have always avoided ‘batch painting’ for fear of the process becoming too mechanical and slapdash, but I decided to try it this time and unfortunately I have proved myself right. Another problem with the time ‘telescoping’ is that, with sessions a week or more apart, I just couldn’t remember what I had been doing; even though I tried to be methodical about where I left off. So I fell out of love with these boys, through no fault of theirs, and I have just had to grind through in the hope that the poor quality will be absorbed into the general texture of the whole piece. I’m already bored with painting GI uniforms and I’ve only done twelve!
Why do I give myself these grandiose projects?

I’m missing the bench bigtime but there’s another room to be decorated ,ho hum.
Anyway here they are, better late than never, individually and all together.

Hopefully I can make a start on the next six while she’s choosing the paint....
And hopefully it won’t be another three months before I finish them!

I have to admit that with the distancing effect of the pics they look better then they felt.
Sorry for the negative vibes-It really was just the grind of it. I'm looking forward to starting the next lot
