These pictures are of a 1/48 Airfix Hurricane that had the exact same fit issues that I have had to deal with. The modeler did an amazing job in his repair. If I can get mine to look anything like this when it's finished then I will be a happy bunny.

Not the conventional way of pre shading but when your air brush cant go as fine as you would like I find a permanent marker pen is a good substitute. Well into paint mode now.

This makes me feel more comfortable to build the old 1/48 Monogram one from the 1960s if I finish my Matchbox one.

I will be looking to finish this model not as a shiny BBMF aircraft but a hard working dirty grafting Hurricane from WW2. This means me stepping up with my limited weathering skills so wish me luck.

Great work indeed! I think I would have just binned it, really poor fit in places, crikey.

Excellent job Steve, looking very nice indeed under camo. :thumb2:

I am just too tight to bin anything Steve, 40 odd years living in Yorkshire has rubbed off on me. We even recycle toilet tissue around here. Thanks for your kind comments.

Thanks Andy. Gloss clear coats going on today and then my favourite part of any build, the decals.

I like it when the masking is removed from aircraft models. You can usually see very clearly whether the model maker has mastered his craft or not - and you did an excellent job Steve!

Thanks Andreas. It's been a frustrating build so far and still plenty of work left to do.
