Not had an Arma Hobby kit before, but they seem well regarded. And I do like a nice sturdy internal tray.

Not a massive parts count, but what's there looks very nice.

Well, there we go. Looking forward to getting started, but I'm heading off on a couple of weeks road trip at the weekend so this will just be a placeholder until I get back at the end of the month.

    Thanks for looking in.

      Nice one Nick 🤩

If it builds up like the 1/72 version you should be in for a treat.

Well, I'm back from my hols and have had a bit of a catch-up around the forum. Was feeling pretty tired yesterday so had a fairly chilled morning tinkering with the Hurricane......

Built up the undercarriage bay and attached to upper wing....

A dry fit of the wing/fuselage joint suggests the fit will be amazing!

That's moving along nicely. It looks like a very well detailed model.
Arma Hobby might be moving to the top of my list as a candidate for my Hurricane 90th birthday build in November..

Nice progress Nick and I agree, that fit looks spot on and we all know how much work is saved when the fit is that good.

Still chuntering along steadily with this one although I have been making the most of the weather. I now have the interior completed which has been a pleasure to put together and the 3D decals made things very easy. I'm not that keen on etch seatbelts though - they seem to be a right pain to get looking something like correct.

Next up I'll be adding the tail, rudder and lower rear fuselage before sorting any seam issues.

After this I filled it in with SMS 'RAF Night' and then had a go at applying some variations and staining using NATO Black and a Real Colour 'Very Dark Brown'.....

I was reasonably happy at this stage although when I applied a gloss coat, a lot of these efforts seemed to disappear. However, I went ahead and applied the (very few) decals anyway and they settled over the detail fairly well after some sessions with the MicroSol....

So, other than a sealing coat, that's where she's sits at present. I'll probably have at it with some oil paints before toning down that shine and then we'll be ready to look at the other bits.
