Moving along and finding a couple more anomalies in the instructions while assembling the engine.

Nevertheless it built up quite nicely although nothing will be seen once its all put together.

Added the fuel tank and associated protection with a bit of additional embellishment. It was at this point I noticed that I'd managed to break off what I think is a reflector from under the rear body. Nowhere to be found so that's something I will have to make a replacement for.

So we are now at the point where the splashing on of some paint will be required....... but first a little mock-up dry fitted.

There are further challenges ahead. Look at this gear lever. Pretty much no chance of removing and cleaning that and keeping it intact!

Onwards and upwards. And thanks to all who are still following my sporadic updates.

Coming on well Nick. Looks like that gear lever is ripe for copying in wire, then drilling the knob and adding it to the wire replacement…..I don’t think I’d even attempt to cut it free.

Good shout Tim. I think that's definitely the way to go.

More progress with the painting. Not sure if the seat cushions are a bit too wrinkly now....

Bit of basic painting of the engine, barely any of which will be seen. Apologies this pic is not in focus.

Still working on a few bits, but almost ready for a bit more construction.

      Thanks as always for looking.
