cool, nice one, think I did a carrier of some sort when I was a kid, but can't remember which one TBH, but may well have been this one?

That's a blast from the past. Interesting to see how it's stood the test of time.

        Nice one Paul.

i made this during the Covid Lock Down period.....and beyond.

A good kit, as I recall, with plenty of diddy aircraft to play with too.

Steady as you go. IF ya folla!

        Following along......

Took 2 days to get this far
enough flash that freddie mercury is singing about it and enough warpage to keep captain kirk happy for a month!
only way i could get the flat top on was to do it an inch and a half at a time so i could keep in the correct position on the hull which wanted to be too wide.......lots of ca and brute force and patience whilst it set lol
next job will be filler.....then i can get sanding tomorrow

I think my brother made an attempt at this model way back in the 60's. It was never finished. Look forward to seeing this one done Paul.

You've got it together I hope that there's not too much filling and sanding.

                        Looking good Paul 👍

I built this as a kid, I don’t remember much flash etc but then it certainly didn’t look as good as yours so I probably just ploughed on regardless 😂

                        Geoff.

I remember making this on the early 70s. Only the bow and stern didn't fit so well but it didn't bother me one bit. I was over the moon when it got finished.
Anyone who has built an Airfix kit in the early days have no problem with today's modern kits and still there are complaints... it amazes me.
Looking at your build Paul is very nostalgic. I can still remember painting the aircraft roundels with a toothepic.
                          Looking good there.

                          Cheers,
                          Wabble
