Amazing effort for such a tiny beast.

Neil / Colin - nutty as a fruit cake as they say around here. Should have just binned it and pretended I'd not bought anything :smiling5:

The jig didn't work - too much flex as suspected. Have made various attempts to the point where I have lost count

this is the latest attempt - it actually looks a bit more promising although some of the spacings are a little off

Trying to get evenly spaced blocks is a nightmare on something this small

Simon this is incredible! Please show a shot with something next to it for scale. I'm sure it will look fine to the average Mark 1 Eyeball and not the unforgiving microscope that digital photography allows!
How many do you need to do?

Morning Neil - it is about 12mm diameter

Only need to make one master so I can cast a set of four

              Morning Mr T,
Shame the jig was a lemon....looked promising. Hopefully the latest incarnation produces a result!

Ah, it did produce a result but not a good one

Just been trimming it in readiness for attempting the tread blocks and it has all gone horribly wrong

Back to the drawing board again

                    Hi Simon
Shame about the jig. The latest photo looked ok. I am sure Neil is right that it actually looks better in real life.

Marty - they look decidedly odd. I wonder how well they work

Jim - it might have done, but it definitely doesn’t now :rolling:
