Completed papa 695s 1/35 Scorpion for Bobs modern armour GB

Well I'm calling this one done, a great kit to build with no issues what so ever. My only regret is not getting any figures to go with it. I highly recommend it.

Excellent work Ian, looks superb mate.

I always get mixed up between this and the Scimitar.

IIRC the armour was welded Aluminium, could be wrong.

Thanks SiFi and yes they are of an aluminium construction, less protection but a greater speed. up to 70mph forwards and reverse.
The Scorpion has the shorter 76mm gun, while the Scimitar as the longer but a lot thinner 30mm rarden cannon

Excellent stuff Ian! I really like this one - the attention to detail, the use of pigments, keeping the weathering down to peacetime levels, it's all great!

I'm especially glad you've sunk it slightly into the base...it does peeve me seeing 30 tonne+ tanks perched atop a relatively soft surface!

Some figures would have made it perfect, maybe having a brew? But there's nothing to stop you doing some & adding them later.

Great result, Ian. Nice job on the copula glass too. Coupled with a simple, yet effective base, I award top marks!

Superb work Ian mate. Very well done. Love the detail and the paint job. Great little base too.
