Churchill Mk. IV AVRE, Westkapelle, ca. 1947

My Churchill AVRE is now finished to my liking, so let me bore you a bit more with a bunch of pictures of it

First, some shots of the real tank this model is supposed to be a replica of, so you can see exactly what I got wrong:

The Sherman visible in the last two photos is the subject of another model of mine. Anyway, I turned careful study of these photos into:—

I made a separate thread for the girl on the tank.

Great work Jakko nothing wrong with that from what I'm seeing.

      Hi Jakko
That is a great result. I love the contrast between a tank and a child. The dull tank is a perfect foil for the brightness of the girl. A clever idea beautifully done.

I picked blue for her dress mostly because I didn’t want her to disappear when seen against the tank, which red, green, or grey would have made more likely — it was a conscious choice, but not for genuinely artistic reasons, just a practical one

I have to agree with Ian " nothing wrong with that from what I'm seeing. "

Terrific build all round Jakko. It was a very informative blog and the result is very nice with the little girl. Very imaginative. Great stuff:thumb2:
