Conqueror Heavy Tank MkII 1/35 Black Box /Dragon

Well, another one finished this time as the title says a Conqueror MkII this was an enjoyable build until we came to fiting the tracks which were slightly too short. Consequently they decided they gonna snap off the idler wheels so in the end I adjusted the idler wheels position so the tracks fit round them as opposed to trying to force them over and put them under tension after that, the rest of the build proceeded without any problems until we got to the side skirts at the end I couldn’t get them fit probably because I’ve moved the idler wheels something like that and I made the decision to custom fit them as opposed to the little clips you should use this time 2 handles on the side skirts decided to ping off and go off into the carpet monster and never to be seen again forcing me to fashion new ones out of brass rod but we got there in the end. A lot of people said that this kit is rubbish. it’s inaccurate that may be the case, but at the end of the day it looks like a Conqueror tank apart from these problems it was an enjoyable build. from Black Box via Dragon I think see pictures of the finished model so enjoy and will move onto the next one which I am not sure what to do yet whether it will be the Comet or the Super Conqueror .

Another one of those tanks I’ve been wanting to build a model of for years, but never get round to … So I’ll make do with looking at your nicely made example

Since the top run of the tracks is entirely hidden, you could also just have pulled the two ends together with some thread until it’s taut
