"Broad sword calling Danny boy..." in German of course. The radio works right Scottie?
Did the crazy frame with wire for my Hanomag too...lucky no visit to the doctors for me.
Blimey, if it's not etch it's something else you've added...nice.

    Cheers,
    Wabble

Thanks Wabble, I think anyone building these has no choice with the frame it is so thin that snapping it is just a matter of time.

still plodding along. I want to have the back door open so I had to improve the detail a bit. So all the moulded detail was removed and new added. The door will be added at the end so I don't keep knocking it off.

The hull is coming along slowly. All the major panels are in place and I have been adding the external detail. I replaced the front with some plastic sheet as I just couldn't get the kit part to sit correctly, probably something I did earlier in the build.

I relaced the locker with a scratched one with some brass sheet, simply because I wanted to show it open.

I added the weld detail to the back, it is a bit big for the scale of the armour plate but it is better than the kit detail.

Some of the pioneer tools have been added, the others will go on after paint. I didn't like the jerry can carrier at all, so it was off to the etch odds and sods box. With a mixture of etch and brass sheet cut into strips, which were then folded into angle strips I cobbled this together. I found a good picture of the real thing then noticed it was a picture of the Ardler and not Grief. And they are different showing how field mods were made to suit.

The jerry cans are from the spares box as well as the kit ones don't have the spine running around the middle.

      cheers

Very nice indeed. Getting an angle bent in a long narrow strip of PE/brass strip is not easy.

Thanks Jim, I anneal it first then clamp it really tight in the bender to prevent it slipping when folding it.

I have started on the stowage. One of the big bergen's had its moulded straps removed and replaced with thin pewter strips and etch buckles, I still have one to do

Hi Steve, thanks mate. Yes that would be a nice touch. The kit includes a set of headphones but it just shows these laying on the seat with no cable.
