Not sure about the " best " tag Laurie! If you ever come to build a Dragon kit you'll see how bad their instructions are - that's my excuse!Originally posted by \Pleased that even the best make mistakes.

Cheers Jim!
The hull & turret are finished & a coat of Poundshop primer applied.

I've sprayed some red oxide primer where the exhaust shrouds will go as I think this area wouldn't get any paint.

Painted the insides of the shrouds likewise

And finished the exhausts themselves. I painted them dark grey by brush, sprinkled bicarbonate of soda over them while the paint was still tacky & then applied washes of oils.

Right, time to tackle the roadwheels!
Cheers

Nice work Patrick, did the kit come with alternative mud guards that are flush with the hull sides like Leningrad tigers are depicted? I had to dremal my guards to be flush with the hull.
I like what you did with the soda on the exhaust.
Are you leaving the tool box and Jack block off the back?Comment

What you have achieved so far with this kit is very authentic I like the exhaust and the rust effect you have achieved. Will fe watching for more.

No, this one comes with just the standard guards - I prefer my Tigers without them, so I'll be leaving them off!Originally posted by \Nice work Patrick, did the kit come with alternative mud guards that are flush with the hull sides like Leningrad tigers are depicted? All the tools & other equipment I leave until last, so they're waiting in the wings! At least the pioneer tools are waiting while the oil paint dries ...slowly

Nope the Leningrad tigers had front guards that were diamond plating and we're flush to the hull...I know Patrick's is a mid but I was wondering if these guards were included.Originally posted by \looking good so far,and i do like the exhausts, they look great,
