Looks to have worked well. That Panzer Putty is certainly strange stuff. Paint on the used stuff just seems to disappear.

Terrific work mate. Glad see I am not the only one suffering from putty sag!:smiling: It seems that this stuff is designed to be used for hours at a time rather than days. I am glad it came out the way you wanted it.
One small thing you may want to consider (If you havnt already
) is the tops of the exhausts. There would be little or no camo showing on the top due to all the exhaust dust so you may want to blacken out those round discs with the five rivets on before you do your pin washes. Just a suggestion - your build your rules:smiling3:

Jim.......... Yes weird stuff, this morning I looked in the tin, the lump had gone flat, just a few signs of the green paint left.How long it will last until the paint can no longer absorbed I don't know.
Steve........ I was hoping you would reply, and be kind !! Good point on the exhausts,I will remember to do that :thumb2: at the moment I'm thinking about this 2 color markings on the camo, want it to be early rather than late so looks like it is a sort of fleck to give that dappled light reflection.
Then some serious thought on the weathering, not mud this time ! More dust from street fighting.

Evening John.... wow what a transformation from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan, as it were... the sequential photos looked rather hideous with all that PanzerPutty gobbed on, lol, but once painting was finished and putty removed... POW !!! Nicely done, Sir... great job on your zim, too ! Looking forward to see whether you use the fleck stencil next !Comment

Good progress has been made, thanks to Steve for the info on the fleck I just got on with it. Have to say actually enjoyed doing it !! Not as bad as I though to do, just taking a little time . Also did the washes on the wheels, now as there is no mud, yes no mud or fire involved in this build I had to do at least 3 colours of wash, the white flecks you will see are some light grey pigment powder from Pinnacle . A very fine pigment which I really like to use, and made in the UK. :thumb2:
Tracks havre been done as well , again no mud so a lot more detailing .

Well there we are, I'm happy with the outcome. Wheels can go on tomorrow, might do a little debri to the hull. a light coat of dust should do.
No worries with the tracks fitting , as they won't be fully fitted !!!!!!!!

No need to be gentle mate - that is wonderful work. You have every right to be pleased. The fleck work has come out a real treat. Very impressive. The tracks are the ideal colour for street work.
