    Vickers .Mk E

Hello. My name is Sergey. I am from Azerbaijan. I am 15 years old. I want to show you my homemade tank model on the 16th scale of the English tank Vickers Mk E. I made a model for 4 months. The basis was taken as a set of Azer I.I T-26. At the moment, the model is in a state of painting. If someone else has questions, I will answer)))

    Welcome, Sergey!
The Vickers looks very good! Why 1/16 Scale? Do you always work in this scale?
This forum is a friendly place - lots of builders, of all sorts of models, from beginners to experts.

On the 16th scale because it is exclusive. Very few people work with this scale. And Vickers in 35 is released by the firm and this is not interesting anymore. I love complexity. This develops modeling skills. I don’t know a single modeller for 15 years to collect such tanks. And my goal was to become one. And I could. But for this I am grateful to 1 modeller. His name is Ilgar Ismailov. It was he who dragged me into modeling.

Hi Sergey, welcome aboard. You've come to the right place with friendly modelers.

The Vickers looks really good and at 15 and already scratchbuilding a 1/16 scale tank is quite an accomplishment. :thumb2: I wish I had that skill 42 years back. :smiling2: Thanks to IIgar for dragging you into this hobby.

        Cheers,
        Richard

Thank you very much for the nice words. I want to tell a little about Ilgar Ismailov. This is my teacher and he is a colleague. He taught me to create these models on the example of his own. When he pulled me into this case, he collected a tank on the 16th scale Polish 7TP. And I really liked it and I began to help him. Then he suggested that I create such tanks. And I thought, Thought long. In the end, I agreed. And that's what came out of it. Ilgar Ismayilov is the only one who makes models with 0 in Azerbaijan. He created such models as the T-28 T-26 7TP Vikkers (With One Tower) T-29 and now he creates the T-35. He is also the creator of the company AZER I.I which produces sets of pieces on the 16 scale of rare tanks (T-28 T-26 7TP). That's the whole story))

Welcome! Very nice finish to a clean build. 1/16 is a tough scale in one respect as errors are clearly evident, but the details are larger so easier to duplicate. A great beginning. PaulE

Thanks to all! I make plastic tanks. I buy sheets of plastic and are cut by a laser machine. 3D Printing and Resin are also often used. Sometimes for some elements of brass sheet.

Ah, that explains why they’re so neat Do you draw the parts yourself in CAD software?
