May I suggest that once you have glued a length support the track with Masking Tape before you start to wrap them round the sprockets and leave until they have dried.

with tracks,what I do,is as said by,Paul ,with the masking tape,and also for that big bend around,
have used hot water,to soften the glue,maybe some will,not agree or think it works,but have found it a great help,
hope its of some help,

Tracks can be a real test of patience, I’ve had my fair share of wrong-uns.
Mud is your friend here and I’m with Scottie on the masking tape:thumb2:

Same problem that I had with the tracks on my komsomolets..very fiddley and fragile.. I think the more I practice the easier it may get.. ..I have the same idea about some mud and snow to hide the problems...you’re doing fine with the build..keep it coming and everything will work out.

Tracks will be fine. I think gluing the tracks to the wheels is the best solution. Ok painting is awkward but at least the whole b****y lot doesn't fall to pieces!
So glad I have read the comments on the fiber glass pen. I have always just used it dry but from now on it is either a mask or use it wet

Thanks . By tonight Jim after I had CD 'd the bottom track into the wheels it was looking ok .
Never even thought about the fiber glass coming off ! Only used mine for chipping .

Evening Si, thanks don't mind the gluing or cleaning, can be a bit tedious but when it all falls apart !!!! Snow or deep water is they way to go .:nerd::nerd:
It was easier cooking a nice piece of steak with a tomato's and a sauce made from the juice, a little brown sauce , a dash of Lea & Perrins and a some tomato's sauce, bliss !

I know they are expensive but I've found some tracks for the T26, metal ones :smiling2::smiling2::smiling2:cost about 1 and half times the cost of the kit :surprised: oh well not leaving the Revenue any !

Not to worry Dzohn the rest will be so excellent no one will notice. Most of the ugly track parts are on the bottom where they should be anyhow. Some thoughtfully placed rocks would easily cause the right side tracks to look OK. The left could use some mud/snow:smiling2:. The open right side escape hatch makes me assume that's the high side, so much the better. A closer fit around the sprockets would likely have eliminated a link on each side. Cutting off the teeth that don't mesh with the tracks gives a better fit FYFR. PaulE

Thanks for the info on the sprockets, another one to remember .:thumb2: As fore the tracks, yes I thought the r/h side with the open hatch would indeed be on the sloping side side so not seen easily from the front of the diorama. Again a stone could be placed under that lift in the lower track.Missed that altogether when I did it, but don't want to attempt a change now. Of course half of the left hand side will be in the water and ice.

Evening all .
Spent the last few days doing the Friuls, and pleased to say that they were ok, spent one evening listening to the TV while I drilled out and cleaned up . Some were pretty bad, but luckily only a few.
I got some photos, one track has one more link, and the other looks about right to me, but always open for advice. Surprised how little wire I had left, if I'd had done as some videos show cutting an over sized length Id have run out. Only have 75 mm spare. All ca'd Ive some de bonda for the ca, just a spot on the wire and left for a short time the wire can be pulled out.

Painting every thing next, going to attempt some oils !!!!! Must remember to seal after the acrylics. and again after the oils before the snow. Reminders always welcome.:smiling2::smiling2: Also tidied up the cave !!!! Wonders will never cease.

Go with option B. Option A is just asking for the track to roll off the wheels, if this were a real tank.
