this is not a fresh kit the frame was broke when I bought it

That’s why I asked: I was wondering if the previous owner had done this, or if the kit was moulded with the chassis in two halves.

I worked on the frame some tonight to strengthen the frame rails even more I used a technique my older brother taught me well over 30 years ago called “Ballooning” I used corn starch and super glue. Think I’m going to call it a night I have a early A.M. delivery. Enjoy the pics.

Now on to this glue glob mess going to try to make it steerable again but no promises

That chassis looks a lot better now than when it was in two halves With a bit of paint I doubt you’ll be able to tell it was ever cut at all.
