Aw Dave, I feel your pain man. So far the one Miniart kit that I took on, left a similar impression (or would 'depression' be a more appropriate term here?) Upon opening that over-stuffed box, what a humbling debacle THAT devolved in to.. Sigh.... But, I do like your labeling of sprues John, will follow your example next time.Oh you are so right Ron, esp on the tracks.I don't think many could clip them together as they suggest. The pins must be at least .3 or even smaller. Plastic this time is soft, and very bendy. I got the sprue labeling from some one on here, saves so much time. The move advanced amongst us have sprue frames as well. :nerd:
Arg the banter is what we love, thank you for looking in Andrew.

Good afternoon, here at Short Meadows in Race Towers I have been working outside listening to a black bird singing while I cut the tracks off the sprues.
They will have to be glued , as there is no way I can clip them together. In fact I seriously doubt any one does or can.
Earlier I went into the green house to move the hanging baskets in as we had storm forecast, 2 hrs later still no storm !
The load bed has proved to be problematic, various section have to be glued and to line up .Thin in one or two places I have a few miss joints.
The was call to use some PE tarpaulin clips, again no way could I cope with such small parts, when they were so small.
Cab was ok, I covered the seats in medical gorse to give a little texture.
Done some more work on the detailing of the engine. There is still a lead to terminate. If had a trail fit of the cab, you loose so much detail of the engine, so decided to leave off those side covers, bonnet and the lamp holder. That way the battery's are still visible. As to the tracks, well a rather sad effort by Mini Art I think , and just to up the parts quantities. Personally I'd rather have had rubber band type, or gone for a metal one, but no one makes them. So gluing will be the only way, not looking few to the curve around the sprockets one bit.
Thanks for staying with it, the comments do make it all worth while.

Thanks Tim, starting to find it even harder now with the load bed and those evil tracks.
Thanks Andrew , no apologies needed my friend. Will try .

Greeting 570, hope you well. It has been fun at times, but frustrating as well. I don't know what other think but the instructions are at times vague with just lines pointing and a view from one face only.

Tractors coming on nicely as well John, good luck with the tracks and yes a poor effort from minicraft really, I would love to build tanks but tracks are what put me off! In this day and age you would think manufacturers could come up with something quick ,cheap and effective without a problem.Comment

Hi John, I've just had to try a couple of track links ,of yours are the same as mine they don't actually click together, I fitted two links together then pushed the pins in after and they seem to be holding and articulating, think a tiny bit of glue on the pin to be sure. Or was this the way you was going with them?Comment
