Thanks all, it's a 3d Decal set, so I can't take much credit. Used some spare decals on the pilot's helmets to add a bit of colour there though.

            Hi All

Well out of my comfort zone with what's on the bench right now; I usually model German half tracks.
This is my 3rd ever tank, Panther G from RFM; it's OK, but a bit 'over-engineered' for my liking!!
I'm thoroughly enjoying painting Gen. Melchett though, who I picked up at Telford last year at a bargain!

Building the Maultier Ambulance has been a good mojo boost lately. Quite hard to be 'realistic' without being too morbid. Aim to make a little diorama for this one. I was planning snow, but none of the figures I have are in winter gear.

                C&C welcome.

This is looking very very good. German ambos were often white in the west as the allies generally didn't target them, no matter the season.

I'm going to go for three tone, but will have some big old red crosses on. The snow idea was more for the weathering and base, as I've never attempted snow before.

I am currently building the Airfix 1/8 Honda 750 Four (09300-4) which was a re-boxing of the MPC kit, available from 1974 to 1980. My younger brother, Tony, bought one of these but as he wasn't a regular modelmaker, he needed my help to complete it, along with a few other models. Fast forward 50 years, and I have bought the same boxing, which I started six weeks ago.

This is being built as a tribute to Tony who passed away some weeks ago. I attended his funeral last Wednesday down in England and now I am back home in Scotland, I hope to get it finished quite soon.

I stripped off the "chrome" effect and have repainted it with various Alclad 2 and A-Stand laquers:

The petrol tank still needs finishing before it can be fitted properly but I couldn't resist:

I also bought an Airfix Junkers Ju88 which I also helped Tony to finish in the Seventies, but I have to say, it is not proving to be as nice a build as the Honda.

Whilst waiting for the flocking to arrive for the Porsche build and letting paint dry on the Apollo recovery chopper interior I decided to look at the seats from the Magnifier/Trumpeter Ford GT40 kit.
To be charitable they looked like seats but were wrong. This car had a tubular frame with the material slung over it a la Citroen 2CV and hollow rivets to aid the cooling for the driver. Photos of Ken Miles car showed less rows of these than moulded so I shaved them off, drilled all the rivet holes and gave them some texture.
Primed and coated with Tamiya X18, now to paint the rivets. This is going to be a looooooong build.
The 1/72 helicopter seats are for a size comparison.
