To build such a long and large model, I would have trouble looking for a good place to display it. Definitely can't display it vertically, can it?

HI Hong well my hms tiger is a lot bigger an ive got a space earmarked for that but if i really wanted it id just put up another shelf to take as you say cant go vertical lol an i must admit its a lot of dosh to lay out in one go as as been said yes ive spent maybe 3 times as much on my tiger but in small amounts so that way it dont hit mr wallet to hard or SWMBO's opinion but i think its a fantastic model as i already have a yamato but in 1/1000 scale so not too big lol but if i ever decide to buy this model i would fit in R/C an have a cover over it to stop dust build up but i had a boaty freind called mike who had a yamato in 1/96 scale all full R/C everything worked on it all guns turned an fired an it was about 12 ft long if my memory sevrved me correct as he bought it to sail up our Norwich pond an it drawted every other model on the pond only trouble was it took 3 guys to lift it in an out of the water

The British 15 inch gun (used on many British battleships) fired a shell of 1938 lb,…..and the 16 inch on Nelson and Rodney fired shells of 2048 lb, so you can see the increase.Comment

Yep, big shells, though penetrative power also matters, not just weight…..
A member of the airborne forces was heard to say when he heard the battleship support fire going over during the D day operation to capture Pegasus bridge “crikey, they are firing jeeps at them sir”…..Comment
