1/700 Revell Bismarck. Denmark Straits. May 24th,1941.

Here are the final set of pictures of my model of Bismarck as she heads down the Denmark Straits.

I cheated with this pickie, and held a chunk of sprue in the foreground to try and show a bit of Prinz Eugen, the Heavy Cruiser that escorted Bismarck during their attempted breakout into the Atlantic. They parted company shortly after this picture was taken... I must confess to be well pleased with how this photo turned out.

Here is Bismarck with her turret tops painted yellow. This was done some time just before her final battle with the British.

That it most excellent Ron. The black and white photos really look good. So do the colour ones, but you know what I meant.

'oo's a clever boy then?! Superb stuff as always young Ron.

Now tell me - just between us two. I promise I won't tell anybody - you didn't drill out the gun barrels like I suggested on one of your earlier builds (you said you didn't need to 'cos they had the muzzle covers on) did you? You've just painted the ends of the barrels black ain't you?

What a terrific bunch of people you are. Your ace comments are way better than any pills or potions!

The wife is a bit better today and thanks for your concern.

Dave. I can't even see the ends of the gun barrels, let alone drill them out. They are so, so tiny. I'll leave it to people better than me to attempt such a procedure. Way beyond the scope of my wood butcher fingers, I'm afraid. So black paint it had to be....

Thanks again for all the very nice compliments on my diddy ship.

                              You're welcome Ron.

I can honestly say I don't think any of the dio's/vignettes/scenes I have seen you do since I joined a few years ago have left me thinking that's 'just' 'ok/average/quite good'. Rather, they have all left me thinking they are truly top-notch in their own individual way.

                              All the best.
