Any chance you can photo the masking itself? Having seen the 0.5mm tape, I'm curious how one would get the fine lines and Steve's already past that point...Comment

I did it with strips of regular Tamiya masking tape. I used a 6mm roll (I think) but cut 2-2.5mm strips of it. I found it difficult to get it to stick cleanly due to the various moldings that pass for detail on the kit, so I sprayed at right angles to the masking and hoped for the best before making some touch ups.Originally posted by \Any chance you can photo the masking itself? Ok for Michael this is how I masked for painting.
First I masked the windows [ATTACH]88530.IPB[/ATTACH]
Then with 2.5mm tape I masked the cannon ports [ATTACH]88531.IPB[/ATTACH]
[ATTACH]88532.IPB[/ATTACH]
[ATTACH]88533.IPB[/ATTACH]
[ATTACH]88534.IPB[/ATTACH]
Then at an angle of 90 degrees sprayed the black [ATTACH]88535.IPB[/ATTACH]
[ATTACH]88536.IPB[/ATTACH]
[ATTACH]88537.IPB[/ATTACH]
Then tidied up any over spray [ATTACH]88539.IPB[/ATTACH]
[ATTACH]88540.IPB[/ATTACH]
