Thanks Jim, i appreciate your nice comments.
As an aside, I thought I'd lost the build thread for this. It was only after a search of the forum, I found my titchy boat in 'Whats on the bench'. I'd forgotten I'd posted the model on there.
i just didn't realise that stuff on there wouldn't show up in the my threads either.....Me thick!
Thanks again.

Very nice Bob, could you post the link to your actual build as I've been tasked with building this same boat with the number 13-40 'Eric's Legend' as it's the boat that we had my late Father's, Grandfather's and Grandmother's names added to it last year in memorial of them.👍 1Comment

Great posts, chaps. Thank you...
Chris. I'm sorry if I've mislead you by writing earlier that I'd lost the build thread, there never was an in depth one. I just posted a few in 'Whats on the bench' The main reason for my decision was an error/omission in the kit.
The mid-ship guard rails are not solid, as in the kit, but are stainless steel wires, running from stanchion to stanchion. When I first saw this, I kind'a lost interest in the model.
I was fine with things, and didn't then know of the problem until I saw a picture of a 'Real' Shannon.
I suppose I could have made this area correct, but....
Pity 'cos OOB, it turned out not too bad in the end.
I've just checked. 13-40 does have wire between the stanchions and is not solid rails as in the kit.
The choice is yours.
Cheers.

It's one of those...... 'If you didn't know, you wouldn't notice it!' Don't tell him!
The kit went together just fine. The only stage which was a bit 'iffy' was fitting the jet propulsion units. A little bit hit and miss.
The full length hull decals were a ball ache to do!
Other than the above, the kit was nice to work with.
