Nice start Ken.
I had a bash at a matchstick ship kit a while back. I must confess it beat me. Not the actual construction, (I worked with wood all my working life) just trying to get the finish neat enough!
No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the finish smooth enough to look like steel plating, and I could still see all the match construction.
It burned well - but not for long.
Despite the doom and gloom above, I'm sure yours will be just fine and I look forward to your updates.

Sorry ken about earlier reply( my eyesight is getting terrible and when I text without my glasses it's like blind texting
The work is coming along really well
It's really taking shape now. Very impressed

Hi Ken I know its a bit back but wanting to start this build and not sure how to start instructions not much good do you have any photos video of how you built it to help me Thanks SteveHi all it may be a while before I start this as I have a 1/8 corvette stingray coming and I'm entering it in a big scale gb so that will take priority.
Anyway I thought this looked like a great kit with loads of potential for improving it, so here are a few pics of what you get in the kit, it was a chrissy present from my bro (thanks again jim)
