HI Neil yea plenty of scratchbuilding on this BRIDGE SUPER STRUCKURE as that why its looks a bit grubby as its due to pencil lines being rubbed out again an again as all the pics ive looked at an the reseach ive done an drawin on the lines only to find its all wrong so out comes the rubber an then start again as all the pics are so different in places thats one of the troubles tryin to scratch build a warship is that they alter them around so much like new radars bein fitted or a new weapons fit the list is some times endless an i know i should say right i'll build it in that period but lookin again its all different so ive just fitted what i think is right
an thanks Neil for stoppin

No worries , can't keep up with your bridge again mind blowing, look forward to see the main guns under construction the guns will be just as impressive as your bridge build ..HI Tony thanks yea im pleased with the bridges but i just wish i could get more done but as this ship is so complex i spend half my time on rsearch of the plans tryin to see that what im building is right but a lot of the pics of her are all different
when i look at them so its a job to know what goes where an i get my ship fitting from fleetscale models an props from jutek i think it is an bending plastic rod just warm it up a bit then bend an same with me i cant wait to build
the gun turrerts the small one just in front of the bridges are twin 3" guns an the front big turret is a twin 6" guns but im afraid they are a fair way off yet as still a heck of a lot to fit on the S/S an i got to build both big funnels so a lot to do
chris

Hi Chris, wow with the heavy detail of your ships bridge , two two gun build be just impressive, much easier going with a plan with the same scale is of, I had to make up my own plan drawing from smaller plan , not easy., TonyHI Tony glad you like the bridge build an yes its comin on an over the last two days ive built both the plessey type 903 gunnery controll systems in purple on the the ship pic below an yes i will be pleased when i can get around to building the gun turrets but im afraid still a lot of other things to be built first as some time nxt wk i hope to start to build the front funnel an fit in it the tube for the smoke to come out but first got to buy another smoke unit an then the rear oneComment

HI Tony yea i aggree it is difficult building with out plans as im finding out on my plans on some things there is just an outline of whatever its suppose to be an reseach is difficult as there is not much on the web about HMS TIGER so i'll have to wing it on some things as there is so much to build an fit on as i found out today i did some foward planning an found out the rear batt that i wanted is too big to fit in the hull as i made up a cardboard mock up of said batt but it will fit in the front section so its gonna be both batts are goin to have to be back to front to exsplain on that the big motors batt will have to fit in the front section an the front batt will have to be fitted in the rear section OH BOY WHAT A BOO BOO

Hi Chris, you are spot on, to make it even harder no drawing on the starboard side, have to o by pics and the same with no front plan view on my ship got the front windows in the wrong place, may shift the them to get it right. What is the Batt is it the gun turrets, good ides to do a mock up first to see how the guns fit . last cool day today plan to after brekkie go down to the shed and work on the modules, need to join two up so changed track will meet up on the station module. No progress on Corona Sea, watching Star Gate tonight early 6pm should be able to finish watching season 6 season 7 Daniel comes back. Bridgework well done Christopher. :thumb2:
I don't envy you as the larger the scale, more detail needs to be addressed. But I can understand the overkill part like on the Oxford I'd like to add every bib and bob but there's a limit. :smiling3:
Looking to see the funnels and how you add the smoke. Turrets are the next I'm interested on whether you'll be making them operable.
Happy building.
Cheers,
RichardComment

HELLO Richard bridge is not done yet as a lot more got to be fitted on as you say largerer it is the more detail to fit an yes still a lot to go on an yes i'll soon be building the rear funnell first as this will be a dummy unless i can make the smoke unit which i have now got today make it so a pipe jions up at the hull jiont an a small fan blows the smoke through a tube to to the back funnel but i will see on that on how festiable it is but at the moment im building all the back S/S an im not gonna take any pics of all this work untill i think its worth showinBridgework well done Christopher. :thumb2:
