On the last picture you can see the boxes where a small amount of ammo was stored.
For sustained fire the ammo was usually manhandled from the main stores via a human chain.Comment

Thank you Ralph I thought you might know, not the best job while under fire and rough sea, very brave men that's for sure.

Not sure how I've managed to miss this one so far but I'm on board now Pete.
Looks a very detailed kit with plenty of fiddly parts and PE. I see you mention a missing sprue, anything significant that can't be replaced from scratch?Comment

Hi Andy your here now and welcome aboard, the parts that are missing are 2 x mast/ towers, paret of the aft superstructure which I'll try and make ???

HI didn't get much done today sorry :sad:.
Made the two funnels and what I thick is the anti aircraft gun deck (I'm a bit thick when it comes ot ships I'm afraid sorry)

Hi Peter, really looking good. To me PE was always meant for ships of this scale and smaller. It greatly enhances the kit when applied well.
Thanks for that Ralph and Peter, on that account I have looked up some reference images of these ammunition lockers, not many here's just two...
Must be dangerous having live ammunition all around you. Any shrapnel can set it off.
