That scale issue is odd :rolling: I wonder who has got it wrong - Airfix or OcCre?

According to Wikipedia the deck length was 31m.

Although I've not actually been on it, more than once I've had coffee opposite the replica that's in a dry dock off the Thames. The thought of circumnavigating the globe in something that small is mind-blowing not to mention terrifying....

Started the planking and I am not too fussy as it's double planked. Click image for larger version

I thought I would give this one another go as I am a bit bored with pe on the Bismarck so I have started the final layer of planking. Click image for larger version

                  Hi Peter
That layer looks neat. On these double planked ships is the outer planking thinner and so bends easier? Looks a different wood as well.

Luckily yes and it does not need soaking to bend it.
