    1/125 SCALE U-BOAT WRECK MODEL...COMMISION BUILD.

I have been asked to make another sunken U-boat model, this one will be sold. So I managed to get hold of another U-99 model and have started to distress. Drilled out the holes then I have done this with no false hull and only damage is deck plate sag around the conning tower, rail fallen and the other missing, the rear rudders and planes are damaged due to impact. I need to re-drill for the periscopes and add some more mottling.

The first few pictures are of the original sunken U-boat I made, many years ago, then followed by the commision build.

    Si

Ta moni, it is 1/125 scale. The newer one is more grey but I do have more highlights to add...hopefully it will turn out okay.

Hey si have you ever thought about doing the revell 1/72 type VIIC as a wreck?

Now that is something I would love to sea ( pun intended)

Got a part set of the 1/72 in the shed, too big really...but as you say real scope to show the guts of it all gnarled and rusted.

Can you make a wreck out of anything!! I have a king tiger with starts of zimmerit ( 1/35 scale ) and the zimmerit put me off the kit so it's in a box awaiting something? Could you wreck it so it was like a find 70 yrs in the dirt and undergrowth? My skills are not that good

Oh just think of the damage ! Bullet holes in the conning tower! A torpedo hit in the hull! That would be nice to see
