Hope you get better soon. Know what you mean about Letchworth but I still like it. Don't think we're doing Telford this year at all. Only been once myself thoughComment

Bit last minute but I went to this model show, St Ives (Brampton) on Sunday.
I usually go airgun target shooting on Saturdays, but due to the wind, this was cancelled, so I decided to drive up to Cambridgeshire later Saturday afternoon, booked into a Prem Inn, (I know, living the dream right, Lol!) ready for the show on Sunday morning.
Took loads of photos, see below, was impressed by how big this show was, my only other model show being the last one at Marston in Kent, which was quite small and not a lot to see TBH.
I was looking for something "different" to buy, and ended up with a nice 1:72 scale Russian ICBM Launcher.
Regarding my photos, I also wanted to concentrate on anything slightly different or unusual, as there's only so many photos you can take of Spits, Lanc's and HalfTracks!
I also took quite a few photos of any diorama's that I came across, as I have done a few now and I think thats where my main interest now llies, telling a story of some sort through a dio.... so lots of little dio photos were taken for ideas and inspiration.
I did remember that someone on here (maybe Richard?) mentioned they would be there at the Clacton stand, so I did mention the forum when I got to that stand, but they were not sure who was on the forum, or where he was? so looks like I missed whoever it was, soz...
All in all had a good few hours, then the long drive home, but enjoyed it a lot....
Some photos, enjoy....
Nice rust job on this tank...
Not really into table to wargaming, but saw this one, which is based on WW1 dogfighting using little biplanes etc and each action based on the turn of a card, called Wings of Glory....

More photos from the above model show.
NB: I was using my Nikon D3300 on Aperture priority at F8 with a F-S Nikon 35mm 1:1.8G DX lens.
The lighting was quite poor, low, as it was in a dark (ish) leisure centre type building.
I did not really want to be using flash due to the number of people, etc and it would have been quite annoying, with glare, etc, so I have given the photos a bit of help in post production via brightening them up a bit in the edit.
Cheers
Don't see too many Hovercraft, this one was quite nice...

Glad you enjoyed it after driving such a long way.
That Hovercfart skirt is an inner tube, heard the builder telling someone.
The models with the Airfix World labels signified they had been featured in the magazine of the same name.
Would have said hello if I knew you were going to be there.

More photos from the above show....
Really liked the smoke effect on this one, looked great...
Really liked the sheer level of tiny detail on this one, two tanks in a makeshift workspace, the table, the tools, etc, the distressed walls, etc.
Had to take a photos of this little Mini, as I had a Clubman when I was much younger, (sadly not a 1275), so might have to build myself one at some point...
Especially liked the water effects and waves on tis ship dio....
It does not show up in the photo, but there was a tiny bulb lighting up the underside of the missile as it rises upwards, looked very realistic, disappointed that it did not show up here!
