A just lovely ugly aircraft. Known in flying circles as the Shagbat. Built it in 1/72 and a great build so much going on. If they are producing a 1/48 I will be in there.

22 rigging lines ---- what joy.

Ugly as is the Spitfire pretty. Bizarre that Mitchell designed both and Matt Summers flew as test pilot.

Does anyone want to take a guess at the "iconic" aircraft they are announcing at Telford? On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.

Well judging by their previous recent releases a british aircraft would seem likely , however the 'iconic' bit narrows it down somewhat. Its about time someone did a Supermarine Scimitar in 1/48 but iconic? , maybe not well known enough. I'd say a 1/48 Hunter could be a good candidate as it fits the iconic and British part and is not very well represented in this scale. The other one im thinking is a Vampire/ Venom/Sea Venom in 1/48. cheers tonyComment
