What we really need is a Dakota! Imagine the dio possibilities for a 'plane that's been around for so long and has appeared in every war since WWII.

I'd love a Dakota in 1/35! Imagine the (sectioned) diorama possibilities that would engender - longitudinal, cross-sectioned, etc the mind boggles!

As with all kits - it will come down to ‘value for money’. I say ‘value’ and not ‘price’ because cheaper kits may cost more when you factor in the AM stuff. I have to say though that I’m not as excited about this new kit as I am to hear that the team goes on. For me, the Revell Mk.II wasn’t difficult at all to turn into a decent Mk.1 and around the £60 with all the AM thrown in, was good value for money. Yes it can be bettered, and I am sure this new release will do just that, but at what price? We have plenty of 109s and 190s (aren’t Zoukei-Mura releasing an all singing butcher bird range?) we don’t need any more. Give us something we don’t have for pity’s sake.
I’ll probably buy one if the price is right but I’m not chomping at the bit in anticipation. Box Art, if final, looks a bit poor in my opinion and doesn’t have the WNW air of quality - just my first impressions.

The Kotare Facebook page has loads of comments from modellers slavering with anticipation! ( At least, notional modellers - I wonder how many actually buy models! )
I'm afraid I'm a bit cynical about these announcements, whether they're wishful thinking, a way of gauging the market, or whatever. I'd wait until something definite is published before commenting ( not that I'm in the market for a 1/32 Spit! ), but then again, I'm just a grumpy old git...........:angry:

Speak for yourself. I'd love to be able to get hold of some earlier model Fw190s. The Hasegawa ones are like hens teeth to find and command stupid prices.

Dave. The market has been crying out for a new (and decent) Spitfire Mk.I (and hopefully a Hurricane). Because of its iconic status, i'm sure this will be a big hit with modellers and yes, some will actually build them. I would love one, at the right price.

With this new firm wanting to create new kits and such, I just wonder if the firm would really fly and make a buck. I personally think if someone would re-make some of the old WNW's line, it would be more profitable than starting out brand new.....

The demand is definitely there for their WWI kits as they are now selling for stupid silly prices everywhere. If someone ever re-released their Hansa Brandenburg W.29 kit, I would be the first in line to grab one up!!! Just my 2 pfennings worth.................

Meng got the moulds & released the Fokker Dr.I in 1/32 - but the rest of the models/moulds are no doubt held as assets by somebody!
